Chicago Great Western Car Shops - Oelwein, Iowa: A historic narrative of the Oelwein Car Shops is now available on line. This illustrated public history document was completed on behalf of the Union Pacific Railroad in 2011 as a condition for the issuance of a demolition permit for one of the major remaining buildings in this complex. This digital document was created and optimized for web and email distribution. It is just over 6 megabytes in size.

Historic Narrative, Red Bridge, Dubuque County, Iowa: This illustrated historic narrative is now available on line. This document was prepared on behalf of the Canadian Pacific Railroad as a condition of their U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-issued Section 404 permit for the replacement of this historic bridge, which had reached the end of its service life. This digital document was created and optimized for web and email distribution. It is just over 7 megabytes in size.

Building the Kate Shelley Bridge: is now available on line. This illustrated public history document was completed on behalf of the Union Pacific Railroad in 2010 as partial compensation for the construction of a new concrete & steel viaduct adjacent to the historic viaduct. The Union Pacific provided printed copies to every public library in Iowa. The final version of the Historic District Treatment Plan for the historic Winona & St. Peter/Dakota Central Railroad (aka Dakota Minnesota & Eastern), now owned by the Canadian Pacific, is now available online. This document was developed in collaboration with the DM&E, the Surface Transportation Board, the Minnesota State Historic Preservation Officer, and the South Dakota State Historic Preservation Officer.
